Real Biker Babes

"Men like bikes, men like women. And of course men like sexy women on bikes.
But what is sexier than a woman who owns a 1965 BSA Lightning and actually rides the damn thing?
Nothing."

headgear

I have a classic style vintage 70's helmet, its black with a  gold stripe. I love it. This summer I want to get on my own motorbike and ride all the streets till my eyes are burning and the wind cuts my face up!! yummiie!!! So as a Christmas present from my amazing Brother was a new DOT approved helmet! He is protective!

Based on the company’s original 1954 "500" helmet, this new Bell Custom 500 adds modern protection and graphics to the classic shape. The shell is fiberglass, creating an average weight of 880g and the helmets are DOT certified. We’re impressed with the level of detail — check out the chrome trim and quilted liner and it fits my head like a dream.

Merry Christmas to meeee!!!!!

Vintage Wartime

Who knew there was a war going on in vintage picking warehouses. Living in Toronto for a bit I noticed the very high quality and abundance in vintage clothing, some purchases from boutiques there I will hold on to forever and are incredible that I  picked up for cheap ($10 for a knee length blue wool 1960's bubble coat- very Balenciaga) Amazing! These warehouses are here too, although i have heard of them and know friends who have been, and how close they guard the secrete location. I had no idea that Japanese and European markets had such huge buying power. I am jealous!

Now I am on the hunt for a VINTAGE black jacket for riding my bike.

I can do it!

reading

I just started reading it. Well that's a lie, I started a few months ago and then gave the book back to its owner before I could finish. I could not leave it unfinished, so I am re-reading it.

Lillian La France, I get it.

It's an older Selvage Yard post, but I keep going back to her as inspiration. I wish I could hang out with her, she sounds like fun!

Lillian La France showing off with no hands on the treadmill at full rev.  She was one of the first, and also one of the most popular, female Wall of Death riders of the 1920s & ’30s.

in my blood

I want a motorcycle. I want it to be clean and raw looking, fast  and maybe a little too loud. As a kid we only watched the Speed channel on Sundays. I grew up with this image of my Italian Army fully tattooed,  speaking 7 languages Nonno racing motorcycles in Africa. My father always owning various motorcycles in the 1000 cc class and never letting my brother and I touch them. Everything was just out of reach and I want it all now. I just have to figure out how to get it.

Set Goals

1. Write the Class 6L test. pass.
2. Learn all about Motorcycle engines and vintage models.
3. Save money to take the way expensive course
4. Pass my Class 6 motorcycle skills test!!
5. Buy my very own Motorcycle.. maybe a CB or KZ.. something I can strip down and make my own cool.
 6. Ride everyday and everywhere (i already have many trips planed.. ill tell you about them as I go)
7. Fall in love. .. mostly likely this will be with my motorcycle and the road.... not the other romantic love.
