Sad

I received some sad news that I don't totally understand but am doing research on. The compression in the engine is too low and it barely idles. Compression is somewhere around 105 - 115 pounds of pressure and it should test at 160 -180. Also the starter is not engaging and there may be an issue with it as well. I am faced with what to do?
